Curriculum features
Below are listed some of the features of Labo's curriculum, which is constantly improving.

- Use an original textbook.
(Conversations suited to student's aims and environment, and so easy to study) - Lessons where achieving is the main point
(Practicing words that are commonly used in many situations and places and will be used as soon as they are remembered.) - Listen and repeat pronunciation exercises.
(Gain confidence in your intonation and accent through practice)

- Lessons toward developing reading technique
(Useful for the EJU* test) - Set up meetings where students hold conversations with Japanese people other than the class teacher.
(learn lots of patterns for many types of conversation.) - Upon finishing the intermediate course, students should pass JLPT level 1.

- Lessons to improve the abilities of students who have passed level 1 of the JLPT exam.
- Lessons on adjectives using audiovisual materials.
(To allow student to describe their impressions and perceptions of the world around them. Useful for students taking entrance exams for arts-based courses.) - Lessons using "living" materials
(reading materials, TV dramas, documentaries etc. are used to gain a deep understanding of contemporary Japanese society. Recommended for students interested in Japanese culture. ) - Work on delivering public speeches and delivering presentations.
(Good practice for students who use Japanese at the office. Recommended for students who wish to work in interpreting, translation or carry on to Japan's higher education system.)
Lesson times
Lessons are 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday. Lesson times are listed below.

Curriculum structure
Courses last 10 weeks. For example, for the 2009 Spring term (April 6 – June 19) below, the beginner's course schedule is outlined.)
Textbooks:Students use the "Labo Beginner's Japanese” original textbook.
Tasks and activities:Use the Japanese you have learned in class to succeed at assignments. Practice so you use the language learned in the classroom.
